In light of the final Wimbledon meeting of the current winter season this coming Sunday, Spedeworth / Incarace would like to furnish our loyal Drivers, Staff, Sponsors and Race Fans with the facts as they currently stand with regards to our future at Wimbledon Stadium.
As of today, Friday 18th March, Spedeworth / Incarace Motorsports have still yet to receive any notification, official or otherwise, whatsoever with regard to our future use of the Stadium.
We are aware that the GRA Officially finish having the use of the Stadium after their Derby in the summer and we also know of Stadium Staff redundancies that follow that meeting, but neither the GRA nor Galliard Homes have contacted Spedeworth / Incarace Motorsports with a clarification of our position.
Having opened at Wimbledon in 1962 with the Formula 2 Stock Car World Championship and so many full – house ‘Box Office’ meetings through the decades, we are as bemused as our public as to why we have the current situation in place and that we have received no notification but can assure everyone that if and when we do receive any communication, we will publicly notify all concerned.
In the meantime, we thank each and every one of you that has supported racing at Wimbledon Stadium over the years, in particular in recent times and those that have and continue to work so hard to keep the Stadium open for our sport.
