CUNNINGHAM WINS THE ENGLISH - Added 23/04/2012


Congratulations to Incarace Lightning Rod driver Frankie Cunningham for winning the 2012 ORCi Lightning Rod Englsh Championship at the Arena Essex raceway yesterday in the 87 Engine Services Sierra.

Having qualified in 5th position for the 25 lap Championship race, Frankie took the lead on lap 11 and never looked back. Top qualifier from the reversed grid heats Diggy Smith making his first appearence in 2012 led from pole before a mechanical failed forced his retirement. Spedeworth's Ben Murray finished 2nd and home driver Gary Greenland in 3rd place.

So well done to Frankie from all at Incarace, who adds the English to his current National title and the 2010/2011 Points title. Can he go all the way to the Gold roof at Northampton in September?
