Its national 'unplug day' tomorrow, so why don't you unplug your television forget technology and join us at Hednesford Hills Raceway as we play host to the Bill Morris Veterans Day.
Banger drivers of days gone by come out of retirement and race in the Veteran National Bangers - they may well be older guys now, but never fail to impress with their track craft and certainly show the youngsters how it used to be done a few years ago
There will be more Banger racing provided by the Incarace Bangers in 'Back to Basics' form, which proved very successful in the 2015 season. A new idea to bring drivers, new and existing onto the track with 'Easy to Build' cars as they have to basically run as they did on the road - e.g. dashboards are still in and the cars have to 'run on the key', so no modifications are allowed. You will hear radios and CD's playing on the rolling lap and the marshals have to be careful about windscreen washers that also seem to be left in, but pointing in the opposite direction. It's a fun formula and over 50 cars are booked to race this time.
You can also see the most stunning formula that Incarace has to offer, the Classic Hot Rods. These will be showing us what Hot Rod racing was like in their earlier days of the 60's and 70's as they compete for the extremely coveted Bill Morris Memorial Trophy, celebrating the life of the creator of Hot Rod Racing itself way back in the 60's and of course the creator of Hednesford Hills Raceway itself.
Off track there is also a static display from the Ford RS Rallye Sport owners club who will be showing their pride and joy road cars.
Food and drinks are available at the various cafeterias and burger bars, as well as the famous Doughnut trailer. D.G Intosport will also be there in force catering for all around needs of raceway Jackets, hats, overalls, toys and a fantastic selection of sweets at just £1 per bag.
The Bill Morris Veterans Day is a great event - join us and see for yourself. Gates open at 10am with racing starting at 1.30pm.
