38 Lightning Rod drivers contested the inaugural Crowson Motors THUNDERBALL Final last weekend at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich and Hednesford Hills Raceway.
Once again the 'Murray' word came to the top, this time it was Colin that took the spoils which now means that all four members of the family hold titles in the Lightning Rod formula a feat that we think even the Wainman family have yet to achieve in BriSCA F1's.
With points scored for both heats and the final at Ipswich on Saturday and similarly for the three races at Hednesford on Sunday, Colin was a clear winner with Chris Aldridge (421) runner up and Ashley Birkin (337) in third place.
Our sincere thanks to Mo Crowson for the splendid sponsorship (£200-£125-£75) for the top three places. Mo was extremely pleased with the drivers that had supported the weekend and went home happy, despite his desperate car troubles that sidelined him from the final race.
Mo is already talking to us about a similar event next year where we are hoping that we will be able to offer National Points to both Incarace and Spedeworth drivers at both meetings to make it even more appealing and probably an even bigger field of drivers.
Well done everyone.
