Spedeworth / Incarace are pleased to announce the points system for the National Bangers registered to either Spedeworth or Incarace in 2016/17.
The chase for qualification to the 2017 Unlimited National Banger World Championship begins straight away.
For 2016/17 drivers will score points solely on the World Qualifying chart as per the 2015/16 season.
How drivers score their points will remain the same i.e. attendance points with Spedeworth registered drivers having to decide whether to be allocated East Anglian or Southern points when licencing.
There will be designated World Qualifying Rounds where points are scored on every race.
For all 2016/17 championships (home and away) drivers will be seeded directly from the World Qualifying Points Chart.
The first opportunity for Spedeworth registered drivers to score points is at Wimbledon Stadium on Sunday 23rd October 2016 – 5.30pm where 20 attendance points are available to drivers who have booked-in to race*.
Incarace registered drivers first opportunity takes place at Birmingham Wheels Raceway on Saturday 29th October 2016 – 6pm where 15 attendance points are available to drivers who have booked-in to race*.
At World Qualifying Rounds whether the meeting is run under Spedeworth or Incarace, a drivers points will go on their registered promotions chart.
*:- Full attendance points can only be scored if the driver has booked in advance for the meeting and the booking is accepted during office hours – Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. A driver turning up without booking in will score only half the available attendance points i.e. 5 points if 10 points were allocated to the event.

2016/17 Incarace National Banger World Qualifying
The qualifying system for Incarace registered drivers for the World Final at Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich is as follows:
Wild Card Rounds
The following meetings carry a Wildcard place where the winner of the final carries an automatic spot into the World Final race at Ipswich on 8th October:-

These meetings carry race points on each race going from 10 for a race win, then down to 1 point for a 10th. In the Final the points are handed out as follows: 20, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.

At the following meetings, DD points are available for the last 2 running drivers, 15 and 10 points.

Attendance Points
Attendance points are awarded at the following meetings:
*Micro Madness – Birmingham – Saturday 29th October – 15 points
*u2000cc (No Mondeo/Cougar) & Micro Madness – Northampton – Sunday 13th November – 10 points per class
*Unlimited – Birmingham – Saturday 26th November – 10 points
Bonus Attendance Points
Drivers can earn an additional attendance points for visiting other Spedeworth / Incarace ‘domestic’ meetings for which they would not normally receive points.
Incarace registered drivers can score bonus points at any of the following meetings:

Points Deductions
Drivers booking in for any National Banger meeting, failing to cancel, and not showing up, will have the relevant points for that meeting deducted from their total – i.e. if they would have scored 10 points for being at that event they would have 10 points deducted.
