Congratulations to 998 Wayne 'Cotty' Cotterill for taking the 2.0 World title at Hednesford Hills Raceway on Sunday afternoon!
Over 120 cars contested the day's racing in the National Bangers, with Cotty qualifying via one of the last chance races, meaning he had to do it the hard way from the rear of the grid in the main race.
He drove a blinder to make his way through the field, and passed leader 999 Scott Hill towards the end of the race to take the chequered flag, Hill taking 2nd with the other top 5 places going to 190 Steve 'Pikey' Bailey, 124 Car 'Oris' Korszewski and 86 Alec Savage.
Cotty's win keeps the title in the Team Black ranks after 67 Rickie Beasley's win last year.
The last chance races were won by 192 Jimmy Rice and 317 Jack Overy, with the Allcomers going the way of 474 Matty Threlkeld and then 808 Jimmy Randall took the Grand National and also the DD aherad of 701 Bob Peat.
The Ministox were providing some great entertainment in support of the National Banger drivers, with 215 Jack Miller taking both heats, 205 Courtney Finnikin taking the Final ahead of 273 Jack O'Reilly and 277 Billy Banwell, while 225 Joe Parsons took the Grand National.
Well done to all the drivers and their teams for making it a great day in the Hills!!
