Sunday 5th March 2017 brings the BriSCA One Last Time event to Wimbledon Stadium for the final time.
To try and help everyone have a day to remember for all the right reasons below is a list of pointers for your information:-
• The normal Sunday morning market at Wimbledon Stadium will be taking place from the early hours until 2.30pm.
• All stock car fans are requested by the stadium not to arrive before 1.30pm to allow for the transition of the parking areas from the market to stock car plans. Please park where instructed by the stadium security to avoid your vehicle been clamped or towed away.
• There will be no pit access for transporters until 2.30pm.
• Public parking will be very limited.
• Once the car park is full, access to the stadium to vehicles will be permitted to transporters, staff (with the relevant passes), official vehicles and disabled vehicles (space permitting in the designated disabled parking area) only. Stadium security will not allow access to any public vehicles once the public area is full so please find alternative parking. There is a large car park near Wimbledon train station which is a 30 minute walk away from the stadium or 5-10 minutes by taxi. Sat Nav users for this option use SW19 8YE.
• Race fans who need to collect their advanced tickets on the day can do so from the pit office next to the tunnel onto the track from 2pm.
• The pit office will open at 3pm for drivers to sign-on and allow the scrutineers to begin safety checking the race cars. To aid with this we ask all drivers to remain with their cars until the scrutineers have passed your car.
• The turnstiles will open at 3.30pm for public access into the stadium. A quick reminder at this point that you MUST have your advanced ticket with you. Failure to produce an advanced ticket will result in no admittance to the stadium and there are no tickets available for purchase on the day.
• Pit access will be restricted for this event via the pit passes system.
• The pit pass gate will also open at 3.30pm but only to allow people with the correct passes into the stadium. There will be NO ACCESS TO THE PITS FROM THE STADIUM UNTIL 4.30pm! Once you are in the stadium there is no return to the pits regardless of passes held until 4.30pm.
• The drivers briefing will take place on the track at 5pm. All drivers must attend and will be wrist banded to confirm attendance. Drivers make sure you are there as you will need to be told of all the additional information including specific racing rules for the event. Be prepared to be turned away from the holding area if you do not have the correct passes and the wristband to race.
• First race will be lined up at 5.15pm to go on track at 5.20pm for the meeting introduction at 5.25pm.
• The first green flag will drop at 5.30pm.
Let’s go racing!
