Two Ministox drivers bid a fond farewell to racing Minis at Northampton last Sunday and got slightly wet for their troubles.
Junior Buster Compton-Sage (902) and Will Gibbs (280) both took to the Northampton track for the final time as they prepare to move on to adult racing.
Buster will be travelling to Scotland next weekend for a final double meeting in Minis and Will is to make his final appearance at Hednesford in a couple of weeks time before he is sixteen in early June.
Local star Will, son of F2 star Nigel who coincidentally took his first ever Mini race on his 11th birthday almost five years ago at Northampton will be moving up soon to BriSCA F2 Stock cars and West Country visitor Junior Buster is making a massive move to 2 Litre Saloon Stock Cars.
They did both get the traditional soaking treatment - but don't worry, no animals were injured during tis event!
We wish both drivers the very best of luck in their new racing ventures.
The racing was very fast a furious in the Ministox with the final going to Danny Elbourne (204) from Abbie McGuiness (514) and Aaron Totham (561) third, who had crossed the line way ahead only to be docked 2 places for a jump re-start.
