On Sunday 30th June 2013 Incarace will be hosting the 15th Annual Veterans Day Meeting in the Hednesford Bowl.
The day is already setting up to be a huge event not just on the track but off it too with us also celebrating 30 years of Incarace as a company and an even bigger achievement of 50 years of continuous racing at Hednesford Hills Raceway.
Alongside the main event of the Veterans Unlimited National Bangers we are also planning on running “Rookie” Bangers but all cars must be Pre` 1980.
Since the original announcement back at the Hednesford Firework Meeting at the Drivers Briefing the positive feedback has simply been amazing.
However, with this enthusiasm comes questions and the main question that is been asked is about the specifications of the cars that can be used to race.
As a result the following rules will apply:-
1. All cars MUST have been built prior to 1980.
2. All cars MUST be built to the 2013 INCARACE Banger (Rookie) Rules, Regulations and Specifications (which will be available in the near future) however, the engine limit has been increased to a maximum size 1800cc instead of the normal 1600cc limit.
3. No engine transplants are allowed.
4. At present the only cars that are to be outlawed are the Ford Granada’s, Mini and any type of van.
The Veterans Day Meeting is just going from strength to strength and it is hoped that the Pre` 80 Bangers will also add even more flavour to the mix.
