The ORCi has asked us to issue the following statement with regard to the Ministox formula for 2014:
CHAMPIONSHIPS/ROOF GRADES
The ORCi Ministox Association has announced that for the 2014 season there will be a new approach to championship events, with the reintroduction of three major championships to run on solus dates. These will be the British, National and ORCi Championship.
The championship dates are as follows:
British – Saturday 2 August @ 5pm – Taunton – winner’s car to wear black/white chequered roof
National – Sunday 4 May @ 1pm – Northampton – winner’s car to wear gold stripe on roof (maximum 300mm)
ORCi Championship – Saturday 27 September @ 6.30pm – Mildenhall – winner’s car to wear orange/white chequered roof
The ORCi has also stipulated that no other championships, domestic or otherwise are permitted. However a promotion’s own points championship is still permitted with a silver stripe being required for the current points leader, and a complete silver roof for current points champion. The only other permitted roof grades are white, yellow, blue, and red. The roof grade must cover the whole of the roof to the gutter. Roof colours that do not meet the above criteria must be rectified.
TECHNICAL (APPLICABLE FROM 1 MARCH 2014)
No remould tyres, no winter pattern and no ATV tyres are permitted.
Two straight throughs must run from the front bumper to the rear bumper completely under the car from front to back, and they are not permitted to step up through the rear subframe.
Further clarifications on external steelwork are available in the full ORCi Ministox Association Specifications for 2014 at the ORCi website via the link below. www.ORCi.co.uk
