SUFFOLK SUNDAY SESSION: IT’S AN ALL-BANGER AFFAIR AT MILDENHALL!
It’s a rare Sunday of racing at Mildenhall Stadium as we celebrate the Banger racing career of Mick Lown, with an all-Banger spectacular at the West Row venue featuring National Bangers (pre-2000, under 2000cc) as well as the National Bangers in Micro Madness form - with the lineup being completed by the Ladies Bangers.
Group A - the weird and wonderful - sees plenty of great names on the entry list, including #849 Mick himself, with plenty of cars from before the millennium taking to the shale. Group B sees a mix of Ford Focuses and Vauxhall Astras for what is shaping up to be a busy Sunday session.
It’s also the return of Micro Madness for the National Bangers, with these pocket-sized cars providing big action whenever they take to the track. With bookings sitting at around the 50 car-mark, there isn’t a better place to see the class dominated in recent times by the humble Nissan Micra.
Completing the lineup is a spectacular entry of Ladies Bangers - also boasting an entry list which sits around the 50 car-mark. It’s fantastic to see so many people supporting this formula, and we wish them all luck and hope that you enjoy your time on the track as we say “let’s go racing” on a summer Sunday at Mildenhall Stadium.
Facilities at the venue include a covered Grandstand, banked terracing and bar/catering outlets serving Mildenhall’s world famous fish and chips and a number of other tasty snacks. Be sure to take a visit the Matt Bull Trackshop for merchandise aplenty.
Don’t forget - following the result of the England football match last night which has resulted in the next match being played on Sunday 30th June with a kick-off at 5pm the events at Hednesford Hills Raceway and Mildenhall stadium will still go ahead but will now both start at 12pm!
