The annual Best in Britain meeting at Wimbledon Stadium is one of the most eagerly anticipated meetings of the winter months among Spedeworth race fans and while it may have been cold and damp the action was hot from the start to the finish.

The 1300 Stock Cars put on a good show with the drivers racing hard in difficult conditions in the fog at Plough Lane.

Heat wins went to 418 Luke Barkham and previous Wimbledon meeting Final winner 95 Simon Povey and then it was on to the big race which was started in grade order with the grid closed up on the scoreboard bend prior to the green flag. Daniel Wenn had to fight his way through the pack to gain an excellent win - hopefully we will see Daniel racing more often in 2012.
