On an emotional evening which began with an immaculately observed one minute's silence in memory of Spedeworth's founder Les Eaton who passed away last Monday; it was Joe Parker who walked away with the biggest prize of the night - taking the 2.0 Stock Car London Championship.

Heat One for the 2.0 Stock Cars was a hard race with several drivers falling by the wayside including 3 Trevor Dibnah and 757 David Beldom who were involved in a heavy collision which also saw a fencepost snapped near the starter's rostrum! The fence also came in for some heavy punishment at the hands of the ongoing rivalry between 29 George Morphey and 305 Billy Wood. It was 61 Karl Totham who took advantage of his yellow grade start to take the first heat from the returning Luke Morphey 122.

Heat Two was certainly a quieter race than Heat One but Joe Parker would not be complaining as he piloted the 41 car to an easy victory from yellow grade! 229 Robert George and 29 George Morphey filled the other podium spots following a damp race due to a short rain shower.

The London Championship Final was the last race of the night and in an almost carbon copy of Heat Two, Joe Parker made a break from his advantageous Yellow Grade starting position to cross the line first to take the London Championship with 158 Shane Davies managing to finish second (having got involved in a heavy tussle with 29 & 305 towards the end of the race). 33 Gary Madgwick was certainly pleased to take third place in a hard-hitting evening of 2.0 Stock Car action!
