Effective immediately and to be trialled until the end of the 2024 racing season the following procedure will be implemented for non-contact formulas in the event of a driver receiving a disqualification as a result of racing contact:-

“If you receive a disqualification the initial punishment will be to miss the next race you are scheduled to compete in. If the disqualification for example was in the meeting final then the next event you attend your first race will be forfeit.”

Subject to the Steward of the Meetings discretion the above procedure maybe upgraded to a further penalty including a possible ban depending on the situation resulting in the initial disqualification.

This procedure is not in effect for National Hot Rods who already have a separate penalty procedure for disqualifications.

The above procedure is as a result of drivers complaining about the amount of damage recently.
