It is with incredible sadness that we have been informed of the passing of Midlands Banger racing legend Ken Gibbs.

Ken adored Hednesford Hills Raceway; being a familiar face for so many years - particularly when it came to anything Banger racing related. As a driver himself, and a part of the Coventry Avengers team, whenever the #264 car took to the track in iconic yellow and blue colours it was always fantastic to watch - racing or wrecking!

Nothing shows Ken's dedication to the Staffordshire venue and our sport more than his creation of the annual Veteran's Day - a special day which remains one of the highlights of the venue's summer season. From proposing the idea all those years ago, to bringing back old faces to the venue right up until the modern day - thank you Ken for the memories.
