To allow HS2 teams to safely complete a viaduct installation, closures will be in place on the M6 this weekend:
M6 in both directions between junctions 4 and 4a
?M42 junction 7a (northbound) to M6 southbound link road
The closure will be in place from 3am on Saturday 27 September until 10pm on Sunday 28 September 2025.
A clearly signed diversion route will be in place so you’ll still be able to get to where you need to go, but we recommend you plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.
