Dave “Smiffyman” Smith
1958-2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of one of Oval Racings leading photographers Dave Smith who passed away on Saturday 10th March. Dave was a well known character around the raceways, the advent of digital photography giving him the tools to bring out his creative talents which were enjoyed my many race fans for many years.
Apart from his photography skills Dave will be remembered for quite simply being “one of the nice guys” always enjoying himself, always pleased to be racing and always pleased to offer any help to the drivers and supporters.
Deane and Janet Wood, along with all of the Spedeworth/Incarace team would like to offer their sincere condolences to Dave's wife Carol and Dave’s many friends.
