Good Morning Race Fans, we’ve been hinting about this a little recently and even had a demonstration or two and this coming Sunday we present what will be the debut of ‘SKID CARS’ at Wimbledon Stadium!

The concept is simple, a front wheel drive ‘Domestic Banger spec’ car, the rear tyres removed and a flat steel ‘Ski’ is welded to the bottom of the rim. The car propels itself via the front wheels driving, but the real skill is controlling the car with its rear on skis with little or no grip – akin to Drift Cars but less tyre smoke, less burnt rubber – but a whole lot more sparks!

These events have been staged in the USA, quite how the three races will go at Plough Lane on Sunday, we honestly do not know! One thing we do know is that to see the debut, to see the spectacle and to see what happens, there is only one way to find out!
