SITR Midlands Tyre Recycling are pledging extra prize money towards the Thunder 500 event.

SITR Midlands collects and recycles tyres. Tyre recycling is the process of salvaging vehicle tyres that are no longer suitable for use on vehicles and turning them into marketable, sought-after products. Tyres are one of the most problematic sources of waste due to the large amount produced and their durability.

Discarded of unprofessionally, tyres pose a large risk to our environment as they contain zinc, heavy metals and pollutant content that will seep into the ground and water around them, killing off sensitive organisms.
