Following the controversial end to the 2012 Hot Ford National Championship at Birmingham Wheels on Saturday 13th November ALL drivers are reminded that comments on any social network sites which may bring the sport into disrepute can easily attract the attention of the promotion and may result in a ban from racing.

Whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion it is the promotions decision regarding racing which are final! These decisions can be protested in the correct manor by the drivers ONLY concerned.

On Saturday this was not the case as the aggrieved driver did not protest the decision made by the Steward Of The Meeting in the correct manor therefore resulting in a further penalty and been disqualified from the race for verbal abuse towards our staff.

Comments on Facebook for example:-
“After what ive herd the winner was gage ford if i was him i would still put the silver stripes on roof and put national champion .... Eveyone knows gage won it fair and square !”

Are NOT acceptable as this is a prime example of bringing the sport into disrepute.

All drivers are reminded that we do monitor all social networking sites!

It is a great shame that following the issues from the previous week that we have 2 good grids of cars for the Hot Ford and Incarods’ biggest races of the year that once again the decisions are not finished on the track but with people causing arguments via Facebook which are NOT necessary.

Finally the race was a good to watch and we intend to move on from this situation and look forward to the I Factor Final Round at Birmingham on Saturday 3rd November 2012 and we highly recommend that everybody does the same.
