INCARACE are pleased to announce that amid the rumours on Facebook and other social networks we are changing the rules for Incarods in 2013.

Incarods will now become the budget non-contact formula at INCARACE, with the rules being changed to incorporate Ford cars, from 2nd January 2013. This will mean that the New Years Day meeting at Birmingham Wheels will be the final time the Hot Fords race as their own formula.

The new rules will allow all current cars used in Hot Fords to be used as Incarods, but we will introduce a weight rule that should mean all the cars will be competitive with one another.

On Saturday at Birmingham Wheels, we will be weighing all Hot Fords as well as some Incarods so that we can achieve a sensible minimum weight for a 2013 Incarod. On the basis that Incarods are the lighter range of cars presently ballast will be allowed to achieve the new minimum weight. This will have to be fitted equally around the car.

In addition there will be an inside weight rule of 51%, again to achieve the competitiveness of each car.

We clearly could not continue running two separate formulas with under 20 cars for each formula.

We consider this change to be a positive way forward to make this a really successful formula in 2013.

The 2013 Incarod rules will be available from the end of November 2012.
