The 2014 Spedeweekend is fast approaching as it is hard to believe that we are only 16 weeks away from Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich’s premier weekend of motorsport!
The 2014 Spedeweekend is bigger and better than ever and of course is headlined by the National Hot Rod World Championship! This year however, the National Hot Rods are not the only drivers racing for their World Championship. The Stock Rods are also competing for their World Championship and when you also add into the mix even more prestigious championships including the Lightning Rod British Championship, 2.0 Hot Rods National Championship and 1300cc Stock Cars Supreme Championship it will be a weekend to remember.
But that’s not all!!!
The Superstox are competing for the annual Eaton Family Trophy, 2.0 Stock Cars race for the Golden Helmet prize and this year the Bangers replace the National Bangers and get their chance to shine by smashing and crashing their way towards only one winner who will earn the title as Suffolk Champion.
Finally, they started as a one off gimmick a couple of years ago as a reward for supporting Aldershot Raceway but are now a full time formula included on the Spedeweekend schedule. We are of course talking about the superb Ninja Karts!!
These youngsters are used to racing around the tight oval at Aldershot Raceway but once a year come to Foxhall Heath Stadium and take on the challenge of the Ipswich ¼ mile! Fantastic to watch – not to be missed!
