On 10th April at Aldershot, Junior Rookie Rod 330 Tyler Wilkin blew his engine in practice and was unable to compete in the racing that day. As a result he was not given his attendance points.
Tyler has appealed this decision and following a vote in the Spedeworth office it has been agreed that, on the basis that he clearly had every intention of racing, he will be given his attendance points for that meeting.
Please note that this decision is not intended to create a precedent and each case will be considered on its individual merits in future.
Also, Tyler appealed against the black crosses he was given at the meeting on 24th April, on the basis that they were not actually shown by the starter. This appeal has been turned down on the basis that the driver does not have to be shown a black cross to make one valid.
