Often providing some of the closest racing seen on the ovals, 1L hot rods are the junior non-contact formula found on the Spedeworth and Incarace tracks for 10 to 16 year olds.
Cars are limited to K11 1.0 16v Micras but while these cars are more known for going downtown, these race built hot rods are achieving incredibly fast, close non-contact racing with serious speed and precision being achieved along with impressive lap times. It is easy to forget these drivers are just starting out in the oval racing careers.
The formula races on both shale and tarmac tracks within Spedeworth/Incarace and are already proving to be a huge hit with ever increasing grids being seen within this formula that is still in its infancy. Drivers can compete from there 10th birthday through until the day before there 16th birthday.
Various championships are competed for throughout the year long along with the overall points championship. This is really proving to be a formula for generating future stars of the non-contact oval racing scene.
