Super Rods

In the late 1970's the formula was derived from a wide variety of cars. Incarace ran a formula called Modern Stock Cars which were allowed light contact and ran as 1700cc + engines, which later became non-contact and called Speed Cars. Spedeworth had a similar version that ran 2400cc + engines.

In the 1980's the two Promoters joined together to consolidate the formula and called it Super Rods.
