Very sad News has reached us of the passing of former NHR Star Colin Gomm and Oval Motorsport Fan, Roger Venison.
Colin had been a stalwart of National Hot Rod Racing for some years culminating in both Best in Britain and Long Track Championship Titles. However Colin was so much more than a racer, he loved to be involved in racing and many, many Drivers can attribute their success to his assistance and support in the Pits - even to the point of loaning equipment and cars to other Drivers at times.
In recent years, Colin had battled with ill health and sadly passed away a week ago.
To Colin's Wife Julie, their Family and many, many friends we send our sincere condolensces at this very sad time.
Roger venison had been involved in the sport for many years and pioneered one of the Sports first general news Websites when social media became freely available in the 1990’s.
‘Rogers Oval Pages’ quickly established itself as one of the sites to go to for up to date news and his contribution to Oval Motorsport was duly recognised when he was inducted into the ‘Stock Car Hall of Fame’ by the Stock Car legends Association.
Our sincere condolences go out to Roger’s Wife Julie, their Family, and many Friends at this sad time.
Further information will be posted regarding funeral arrangements if and when they are known.
