As European Championship Weekend returns to its spiritual home at the special Brafield venue this Saturday and Sunday, the BriSCA F1 and F2 Stock Cars will be competing for their respective Bev Greenhalf Internations Cup Trophies in memory of the legendary commentator who's voice was synonymous with not only the venue but our wonderful sport.
Bev first commentated at Hednesford Hills Raceway in 1967, before growing his presence to become 'the' voice when it came to Stock Car racing across the country - working to grow relations between the UK and the Mainland, something which is still enjoyed to this day - and how we wish Bev could have seen so many overseas race fans and drivers enjoying the venue at the World Final Weekend last year, with many set to join us this weekend too.
Before his passing in 2012, his career of 4 decades made those spectacular races into even more special memories, and Bev will always be known as a legend of our sport.
#259 Paul Hines defends the BriSCA F1 title, and #136 Kyle Taylor defends the BriSCA F2 title - we wish them all luck this weekend and hope to see as many of you as possible at the venue for a packed two days of Stock Car Racing!
