Aldershot Raceway came alive on Sunday with the opening Banger World Series event delivering one of the most talked about events in Unlimited National Banger racing in some time!
We would like to thank the huge number of race fans who joined us trackside as well as the drivers and teams for the incredible efforts before, during and after the event with plenty of pit work to keep cars returning back on track.
It was hard to know where to look even before a single green flag dropped, with a spectacular entry of different cars with more drivers than ever setting their sights on topping the Entertainers League. Once the racing started, it was action aplenty with unbelievable hits, car control and spectacular crashes from the huge field of cars.
It was #67 Rickie Beasley who secured his place on the World Final grid, with the experienced campaigner almost going for the double prize money Showdown too - only to be stopped at the last minute with #743 Daniel Hansford taking the cash prize.
All eyes move to Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich on March 7th and Hednesford Hills on March 22nd - two must-see events as the season gathers momentum...
