ATTENTION BANGER DRIVERS!
We are contemplating running SKID CARS at Aldershot on THIS COMING Sunday 7th May but we need to know numbers ASAP.
Would any Driver interested in competing in the Skid Cars, please contact Aldershot HQ on 01252 322920 immediately so we can assess car numbers and the running order for the meeting.
The concept is simple, a front wheel drive ‘Domestic Banger spec’ car, the rear tyres removed and a flat steel ‘Ski’ is welded to the bottom of the rim. The car propels itself via the front wheels driving, but the real skill is controlling the car with its rear on skis with little or no grip – akin to Drift Cars but less tyre smoke, less burnt rubber – but a whole lot more sparks!
