Ninja Sprint Kart Rules 2017 Chassis / Roll Cage Rule Clarification
Having now discussed the matter in depth with Deane I believe we have resolved and identified the cause of concern raise by some parents in respect to the roll cage and chassis construction of some Ninjas.
The rule is clear in how the roll cage should be attached to the chassis, the confusion is easy to understand and no amount of tweaking the rules can cater for every issue that comes to light from time to time.
To resolve the current issue it is necessary to go to the rear of the car to find the answer, as without adding additional chassis material to the rear it would not be possible to attach the roll cage as per the rules, likewise at the front there is a similar issue, the roll cage can be attached by extending the chassis front or rear, please note at all times when extending the chassis the material used must be the same as the original chassis you are extending front or rear.
