Hello and a warm welcome from a very sunny Aldershot Raceway. The sun is shining and the pits are filling up nicely as the Unlimited National Bangers gather to compete for their Southern Championship. The 2.0 Hot Rods are here in good numbers to compete in round 4 of the Hoosier Tire Series, the V8 Stock Cars are ready to rumble and Aldershot's own Ninja Karts are here to entertain the spectators as only the youngsters can.

Ninja Karts (2/3 cars)

Heat One 980 Charlie Lobb, 216, 532, 28, 136, 442, 842, 20, 131, 409.

Charlie Lobb follies up his final win last time out with a hard-earned victory in heat one. Following a mid-race stoppage to rescue the Josh Dodge, a fantastic 3 way battle ensued between 980, 532 and 216 with Lobb coming out on top.

Heat Two 216 George Baker, 842, 7, 177, 614, 409, 73, 285, 442, 299.

Another cracking race from the youngsters which saw a pile up involving the 42, 421 & 20 karts at the pit gate before George Baker took a fine win after passing the 842 kart on the last lap.

Heat Three
980 Charlie Lobb, 532, 177, 136, 7, 73, 28, 121, 194, 614.

Charlie Lobb makes it a race winning double as he takes heat three!

Final (All Cars) 532 Ollie Hosty, 842 Keaton Ivins, 28 Callum Lawrence, 7, 177, 194, 980, 216, 20, 409.

A good race was brewing but cut 2 laps short as the 23 kart was broadside exiting turn 2 which resulted in the result being declared with the impressive Ollie Hosty in the right place at the right time to take the win.

2.0 Hot Rods

Heat One 310 Sean O'Leary, 48, 745, 31, 30, 75, 29, 303, 7,304.

Sean O'Leary takes the first win of the day in the 2.0 Hot Rods after overhauling long-time leader Layton Millsom who drove well in his first race from the front of the grid.

Heat Two 146 Scott Morgan, 50, 29, 48, 303, 31, 30, 310, 8, 65.

A really good close race between the 2.0 Hot Rods as the lower graders are proving hard for the big names to catch around the Claycart Road tarmac. Once again 48 Millsom makes a great start but is eventually overhauled by 146 Scott Morgan who takes a fine win.

Final 146 Scott Morgan, 745 Dan Bennett, 31 Charlie Jowers, 50, 29, 30, 8, 304, 75, 65.

A fast and furious final saw 146 Scott Morgan take a double for the day and promotion to the yellow grade as the star drivers struggle to catch the flying lower graded drivers. A big incident saw a coming together between 7 Moss, 65 Willis and 565 Smith but fortunately little damage was done as we round off a cracking day's racing from the 2.0 Hot Rods!

National Bangers

Heat 1 - half cars - 2 Luke Dawson, 40, 260, 757, NOF.

A lively start from the National Bangers with plenty of action, the biggest hit being by 421 Nutty Nige on 194 Cecil, 2 Spooky takes the win!

Heat 2 - half cars - 706 Danny Lucas, 78, 528, 360, 207, NOF.

An even more action packed race with 49 Blake MacDowell having his Volvo decimated on the pit bend, plenty else going on but Danny Lucas comes through to take a good win!

Southern Championship - 331 Jason Jackson, 528 Alan Hunt, 469 Paul Quinnell, 225, 78, NOF.

42 cars for the title race, with Spooky + Danny Lucas on pole, an early rollover for 123 Scott Cooper's Volvo and a wheel off 733 bringing out the reds. Spooky is missing from the restart so 706 leads them away, Boxer Jack soon takes over ahead of 528, a big wreck for 716 Bert courtesy of 401 Psycho, then a huge jacking train on the pits turn with Psycho getting some big hits with 714, 525, 360, 239, 252, 322, 706, 79 and 221 all piling in!!!!! Superb race and 331 Boxer Jack retains the title ahead of Jethro and 469 Paul Quinnell, only 5 finishers from 42 starters - epic!!!

Allcomers - 397 Andy Cullen, 264, 528, 820, 757, 78, 89, 388, NOF.

33 starters and an early red flag for 597 Shane Lines who shakes out the cobwebs and we're under way again though minus a good few! 397 Andy Cullen and 144 Jack Beagley lead them away on the restart, but The Chav is soon away and holds off a challenge from Mark Welland to take it.

DD - 331 Jason Jackson from 525 Terry Boxell

13 cars for the DD and although Terry Boxell looks to have won it with a big head on for Boxer Jack, it's 331 who fires up after it looked like a big one from 221 Justin Riley!

V8 Stock Cars

Heat One 98 Peter Scott Snr, 32, 123, 42, 466, 30, 2, 348, 38, NOF.

The V8 Stock Cars thundered into life for their first race of the day and it was Rob Beale who made the break from the yellow grade as Pete Blomfield made good progress from the blue grade in what will be his final meeting before retiring after a fantastic 44 year career. Peter Scott Snr and Daryl Harris eventually passed the 42 car while the unfortunate Beale spun out on turns 1 & 2. The 32 & 98 cars battled for the lead until the line with the 98 car taking the win.

Peter Scott Snr makes it a race winning double as he profits when race leader Dave Miles Jnr spins himself out in turn 4 while comfortably ahead!

Final 32 Daryl Harris, 123 Dave Miles Jnr, 42 Pete Blomfield, 466, 30, 2, 348, 38, NOF.

The V8 Stock Car Final saw 32 Daryl Harris go one better than hos heat results as he took the meeting final. Double heat winner Peter Scott came to a halt on the back straight as Dave Miles Jnr came second and Pete Blomfield signed off with a podium finish in his last race. We hope to see him around the Spedeworth raceways on a regular basis.
