2.0 Stock Cars

East Anglian Championship - 133 Spud Gamble, 454 Gary Foreman, 29 George Morphey, 757, 7, 33, 490, 41, 669, 635.

17 Stock Cars line up for their East Anglian Championship, it's a fairly quiet start to the meeting - a few spinners but little else. Recent recruit to the formula 454 leads the first half of the race until fellow Anglian 133 takes over from the yellow grade and takes home the title and it's an all-Anglian top 3!

Heat 1 - 7 Colin Farley, 305, 492, 29, 41, 133, 635, 556, 669, 490.

A much improved heat race for the Stock Cars sees 33 Gary Madgwick in the fence on the opening lap, 305 Billy Wood turns in 122 on his way to a second place but unable to catch 7 who takes the win.

Heat 2 - 7 Colin Farley, 133, 33, 61, 556, 635, 305, 29, 490, NOF.

A highly entertaining race for the 2L Stock cars with the George Morphey/Billy Wood rivalry coming to the fore during proceedings! Eventually, 517 David Madgwick manages to take out Billy Wood. Luke Morphey also goes in - so hard in fact that he rips most of the back end off his car! Still mobile, Billy Wood catches up to George Morphey and as the resulting crash takes out no less than four cars!!!

Junior Rods

Heat 1 - 35 Mitchell Souter, 207, 315, 330, 441, 169, 56, 297, 298, NOF.

10 Junior Rods for their first ever appearance at Caister Road, 315 looks comfortable at her home track but loses second place on the very last turn to 207 from the back of the grid, meanwhile 35 takes a steady win!

Heat 2 - 441 Reece Le Grice, 35, 315, 169, 297, 330, 61, NOF.

Another good race for the Junior Rods with a close battle for 1st and third places - 441 manages to hold off 35 but in the run to the flag 207 gets a little too keen and takes 330 out of third place.

Final - 441 Reece Legrice ,207 Jack Grandon, 315 Jarron Leah Amis , 297, 35, 169, 298, 56, 61, NOF.

441 Reece Legrice takes victory in the meeting final despite being the tender age of ten as the Junior Rods round off a fine debut in style with no major damage to any of the cars.

National Bangers

Heat One
122 Scott Piggin, 821, 86, 303, 155, 74, 367, 688, 657, 866.

17 Micros and an early rollover for 518 brings about a stoppage, 122 was the leader at the time and carries on to take the win.

Heat Two
821 Ryan Preston, 82, 86, 730, 688, NOF.

There was arguably more action on the infield as a mini-DD broke out between the Flecknells and one or two others. Ryan Preston takes a trouble-free win!

Final
821 Ryan Preston, 86 Alec Savage, 122 Scott Piggin, 730, 65, NOF.

With only 8 Micro Bangers fit to take the green flag, it was a depleted field for the meeting final. Barry Beevor takes a solid hit from Lewis Mallett who is racing the 65 car with permission after the 657 driver took ill. 86 and 821 get tangled up but once separate, it is 821 who powers to victory.

DD - 821 Ryan Preston from 86 Alec Savage.

A good DD to end the night with 86 and 821 finishing it off with a solid head on!

Junior Bangers

Heat 1 - 224 Lewis Canham, 170, 733, 441, 131, NOF.

10 Junior Bangers providing plenty of action and a win for 224 despite tangling with a pair of back markers as he approached the finish line!

Heat 2 - 370 Ben Chettleburgh, 733, 123, 292, NOF.

Another lively race for the Junior Bangers with 131 taking 466 in hard and being disqualified as a result! 370 Ben Chettelborough takes a well deserved win!

Final - 370 Ben Chettleburgh, 224 Lewis Canham, 131 Charlie Barnes, 466, 292, NOF.

A good race to end the racing from the Junior Bangers, the top three all in contention throughout but it was 370 who makes it a heat and final double!
