A quiet start for the National Bangers with 30 cars out for Heat 1, 264 Mark Welland looks the likely winner for a long time but goes missing with a blown gearbox and it's Jack Overy who takes the opening heat despite the best efforts of Shane Davies to hold him up!

Heat 2 (1/2 cars) - 47 Andrew Davies, 331, 160, 17, 61, 730, 753, NOF.

A more lively race this time, biggest hit by 161 Burnsy on 549 Phil Smith with 47 Andrew Davies taking the win chased home by 331 Boxer Jack!

Heat 3 - 617 Jack Overy, 382, 67, 516, 204, 86, 439, 730, 160, NOF.

42 cars on track for the first all-in heat and what a race it is, plenty of action around the track with 662 Jamie Harding on 589 Simon Smith and 542 Craig Oliver arriving to destroy the 662 Lexus, then 397 Andrew Cullen blows up 388 Taylor Sowter to continue the Team Chav / Sowter feud, then 349 Allard attacks 415 Scott Cornish but takes hits back from 180 Sparky and Boxer Jack. Through all the carnage Jack Overy survives two attempted attacks from 158 and 47 to take the win again. 47, 158 and 349 all loaded.

Final - 27 Dale Hughes, 294 Lee Hughes, 67 Rickie Beasley, 382, 730, 516, 204, 433, 86, 998.

A busy Final with 38 starters, Jack Overy leads but is taken out by 203 Gnasher who cut the corner to do it, Dale Hughes takes the win, plenty of action elsewhere but the main prize of the World Final place is shared, Jack Overy and Jack Foster Jnr finished level on points so both go through!

DD - 998 Wayne Cotterill Jnr from 208 Jimmy Randall

15 for the DD which comes down to Jimmy Randall and Cotty Jnr and it's Team Black again with the honours and Cotty gets the £310 kindly donated by the banger fans!

Junior Bangers

Heat 1 - 370 Ben Chettleborough, 224, 391, 441, 51, 383, 466, NOF.

Early reds for a pile up with 12 Juniors showing a good improvement in the formula, and some decent action from the youngsters too, 370 taking the win with a good contact drive.

Heat 2 - 370 Ben Chettleborough, 224, 51, NOF.

It's a heat double for Chettleborough as he wins again in the Junior Bangers!

Final - 224 Lewis Canham, 292 , 51, NOF.

Lightning Rods

Heat 1 - 386 Marcus Gridley, 346, 557, 526, 452, 636, 633, 348, 616, NOF.

12 of the 13 Lightning Rods start the race with 314 Farrer in the pits with engine problems, 557 Brent Tillow is the early prace setter as 503 Ben Murray gets punted into a post and rips a wheel off, 386 Marcus Gridley is chasing hard but Tillow drives well to keep him well back and take the flag but is docked 2 places for contact!

Heat 2 - 557 Brent Tillow, 386, 526, 346, 636, 368, 452, 503, 633, 348.

Brent Tillow takes the flag again and this time doesn't fall foul of the steward's eagle eye!

Final - 557 Brent Tillow, 526 Paul Strawson, 636 Lee Skoyles , 368, 314, 452, 503, 346, 348, 386.

Brent will need to go paint shopping as he completes a heat and final double which automatically lifts him up a grade!
