SPEDEWEEKEND 2012
Welcome to the 41st annual Spedeweekend from a sunny Foxhall Stadium featuring the C P Dynes National Hot Rod World Championship! The biggest race is tomorrow, but we atart this morning with the lap trials for the National Hot Rods to determine the places for the World race!
We will be bringing you live result updates from both days.
Qualifying
Fastest times:
115 Chris Haird 14.20
962 John Christie 14.25
970 Shane Murphy 14.25
So Chris Haird will be on pole for the big race tomorrow, taking the Pole Position Award sponsored by Wash 'n' Dash, Shane Murphy just pips John Christie for the other front row position by virtue of his 2nd best lap being faster than Christie's. Unfortunately Dick Hillard was taken ill this morning and is unable to compete tomorrow - he has since been able to return to the track which is great news. Samantha Holland takes his place on the grid.
