#354 Josh Vowden took the 2020 1600 Banger World Title at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich on Saturday evening.
We would like to congratulate Josh on becoming 1600 Banger World Champion with #400 Lee Kingsnorth second, Joey Reynolds #760 third and #385 Craig Thurlow in Fourth in what was another superb World Final consisting of some incredible cars, hits and high speed action!
Spedeworth / Incarace would also like to thank everyone for playing their part in making the 2020 event as ‘Covid – Safe’ as possible, given the nature of the event.
The weather on Saturday tried to dampen our spirits at times but the determination of everyone involved and the skill of the drivers showed just how fantastic short oval racing is.
Thank you to all the Race Fans who came to support your favourite drivers and to Spedeworth TV who provided everyone with another fantastic live programme of the event.
There are so many people involved in the planning and organising the Event behind the scenes and within the public eye and it would be impossible to name them all, but we would like to say thank you to each and every one of you.
Please don’t forget to watch Spedeworth TV and purchase your copy of the January/February Wheelspin Magazine which will feature all of the thrills and spills of the 2020 1600 Bangers World Championship.
Once again, congratulations to Josh Vowden on the win and all the Qualified and Supporting Drivers who contributed in making it another memorable night in the history of Spedeworth Banger Racing!
Sadly, with the staging of the World Final came further news from the UK Government with regard to the ongoing Covid Pandemic. With the new policies put in place, with regret it has been decided that all planned Incarace and Spedeworth planned meetings have been cancelled with immediate effect.
The Aldershot Office will close tomorrow 22nd December and will remain closed throughout January.
Gavin, Billy, Adam, Deane, Janet and all the Team
