Spedeworth/Incarace would like to congratulate Banger #141 Jake Stewart on winning the 2021 Banger World Championship at Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich on Saturday 20th November!!
Jake produced a flag-to-flag victory with lady luck landing Jake with pole position in the world final draw which took place on Spedeworth TV earlier in the day. Jake may have started on pole but did not have the entire race his own way with back markers making life ‘difficult’ for the new world champion. Nevertheless, the chequered flags dropped on #141 and the local lad has now become the one to beat over the next 12 months.
We would also like to thank all the other drivers for supporting the event and honouring your bookings plus producing some of the most stunning cars that have been seen at a race meeting in a long time! Paint jobs were superb and the time and effort you all put into the event cannot be underestimated so thank you to you all!
Thank you also to the race fans who came and supported the event. Unlike the National Banger World Championship, mother nature was kind to us on Saturday night which allowed a full program of races to take place and all in attendance must agree that the racing the drivers produced was fantastic to watch!
Finally, we cannot forget to thank the staff. Like National Banger World Championship, the Banger World Championship night produces unique challenges of its own and everyone worked together as a team which in turn meant that the drivers could do their part to entertain the race fans.
The whole night came together as a jewel in the crown for the Bangers this season and with only the Banger World of Shale left for the formula this coming Sunday at Northampton International Shaleway (12pm start) who will lift the World of Shale trophy?? Could Jake do the double????
Once again, congratulations to Jake on his victory!
