After the announcement entitled ‘1600cc Bangers – Gentle Reminder’ on Wednesday 12th October 2022 and listening to the constructive comments from the current drivers who take the time and effort to compete in the formula, Vauxhall Astra Mk4 & Mk5’s can use the 5-speed gearbox or the interchangeable pinion 5-speed gearbox only. No 4-speed gearboxes are permitted.

Differentials to be used are the 4:1, 3:9 and 3:7 only.

Clusters to be used are the 1:96 or the 2:13 only.

You may change the gearbox to use gear cables.

A reminder to all drivers the Ford Focus cannot use the Ford Fiesta gearbox.

After talking to drivers it has been decided that from the 1st January 2023 the tyre profile will be reduced to the 50 profile. We will be removing the offset wheel rule from the 1st January 2023 however, this will be replaced with the following rule; Front wheels or rear wheels from side to side must run the same J-Wheel.

Also, we will be monitoring the 2022 World Final race and we may bring into the rules that tyre size will have to be the same from side to side. This is to be confirmed.
