Firstly, I would like to thank all of the drivers for their input.
It was first of all to change to a cheaper budget tyre which was even my way of thinking but then people started thinking about the size difference between the BriSCA F2 tyre and the size of the Hoosier so therefore you could never get the gearing for big tracks like Ipswich and Hednesford and a lot of the cars for example RCE, the undercarriage hits the ground quite hard now. So, drop the car down by about an inch and we have got big problems.
I had about twelve drivers suggesting to leave us on the tyre we are on now but you can only have a new tyre on your every other meeting that you race. I believe this is the right way to go for now and give us more time to test and look for other tyres that maybe are bigger like a van tyre (13 inch) so this is the way that I think we are going to have to go for in the future but I believe it is time we started looking for another tyre and testing tyres through the season or think that maybe it is time to look at going onto bigger wheels maybe a 15/16/17 inch because 13 inch tyres are becoming more and more of a problem.
This is something for you all to start thinking and talking about so from now on for the rest of this season or upto the world final depending on if we change tyres you will only be allowed a new tyre at every other meeting that you race at and we are considering at the world final only allowing two new tyres and at all other major championships only allowing one new tyre.
We are going to allow drivers to register six tyres per meeting so you can get your money's worth out of a worn tyre where it might not do a full meeting but you can run it for one/two races.
I know this is not going to please everyone but someone has to make a final decision. I have spoken with Wully Hardie and Darren Black and we believe this is the best thing for now for Superstox.
